Laser Marking for Industrial Manufacturing

Permanent identification on pumps, valves, gears, shafts, housings and fabricated parts — deep engraving, DataMatrix and logos that survive paint, plating and years of field service.

Laser marking DataMatrix on industrial metal components

01 — What Can Be Marked

Marks built to outlast the part

Part Numbers

Deep, durable part numbers on cast, forged and machined steel components.

Serial Numbers

Unique serialization per unit for production and field traceability.

DataMatrix / QR

High-density scannable codes for automatic reading and factory tracking.

Logos & Nameplates

Brand marks on housings, brackets and equipment nameplates.

Batch & Date Codes

Production lot, shift and date codes for recall control.

Deep Engraving

Recessed marking on tools and parts that withstands wear and corrosion.

02 — Recommended Configurations

Material, requirement, machine, configuration

Typical industrial marking jobs and the configurations we recommend. Confirm on your parts with a free sample test.

Material Marking Requirement Recommended Machine Configuration
Carbon Steel / Cast Iron Deep part number Fiber 50 W F254 lens · repeated passes · dust extraction
Stainless Steel Black DataMatrix, 15 × 15 mm Fiber 30 W F160 lens · 110 × 110 mm field · XY table
Aluminum Housing Logo + serial, 30 × 40 mm Fiber 50 W F254 lens · 175 × 175 mm field · rotary axis
Engineering Plastic Fine code, no melt UV 3 W F160 lens · low pulse energy · conveyor ready

Specifications are indicative and confirmed during sample testing on your parts.

03 — Shop Floor Requirements

Engineered for the shop floor

Industrial marking runs on real production lines: vibration, dust, heat, and large parts arriving in batches. The machine is built to hold contrast and position under those conditions — and to be integrated, not parked in a corner.

  • Integration ready. Foot switch, sensor trigger, conveyor and PLC signals on the standard controller.

  • Large workpieces. Extended lenses, XY travel tables and handheld units handle parts too big for the cabinet.

  • Built for dust & vibration. Sealed optical path and stable fixtures hold contrast in real production.

  • Permanent by design. The mark becomes part of the material, surviving paint, plating and service wear.
